A word of warning, this one does the job but is very heavy and not an ideal fit.
It is 133-134mm diameter and 132mm high but the wall thickness is 3.0-3.2mm compared to 1.0-1.2mm of the original.

As a result it sits tight against the lighter flap (the flap strikes it when its opened for lighting), and it covers half of the ring of ventilation holes in use.

Fine for a user lantern but maybe not for a display unit. I thought it was worth mentioning.

    Caveat emptor.
    Alec.

You may find it easier to get some made - as you want three and they are straight sided - find a borosilicate glass maker nearby ?

If you check out the thread about my lantern globe spreadsheet, you'll be able to find alternative globes that have the same dimensions.

If you post your email address I can send the raw spreadsheet file which might prove very useful!

For instance, a Solar 500 globe will fit, as will an Aladdin A1 and various Radius globes. These may be a few millemeters different but they should do the job.

As a last resort, the Camping Gaz Belvedere globe will fit but they are usually frosted. They're easier on the eye but make it more tricky to light.

Just for the info, the Primus 1001 (and 1050, 1051) glass is 135mm diameter and 132mm high. Primus originally listed the glass as 135 x 135, but a 135 height is too much and will crack the glass due to not enough room for expansion.

I made one for my 1001 from a 2000 ml pyrex lab glass beaker. I polished off the white printing and then cut off the top and bottom. I've been using it for a number of years.

Glass cutting is actually quite easy and safe: Cutting glass globes

    Read to the end.

Thats pretty cool Phil, they say necessity is the mother of invention, the cut edge would not be a problem to crack, the lab glass manufacturer i have contacted to make a glass for me has offered it with a raw cut edge or glazed in the blowing process, thanks Phil
