This is the second example of this lantern that I have. The other is shown here. The present example is one of the few lamps I've secured from overseas and it comes from the USA, via two Members here at CPL. There is much detail on this lantern. including advertising, in the link above. This lantern is listed in Neil McRae's PLC (@Mackburner) as variation C. The mica is a newly-made replacement that came with the lantern. The teeth marks on the burner tube were there when the lantern arrived... The generator has had a hard life, but works well. "7 * 7" stamped on bottom of generator. The hex at the top of the generator looks like it was filed by hand. The bail attached to the lamp over the vent by the cap nut. All in all a fine, simple, bright lantern. Cheers Tony
@Jean J The lantern, to the top of the handle in its upright position, is 53cm high (~21 inches). The handle is short, but that’s how it was made. Here is the lantern next to its sibling: Cheers Tony
I had a reason to re-light this lantern again today. It hasn’t been lit since I posted the photos above. 28psi in the tank and away it went! Cheers Tony @Akeepsake
