I received this AL15 last week. The air tube extenders look to be from a later lamp but I imagine parts swapping to keep one running was common.

Not much to do but paint the hood and polish the paint and reflector. I've never seen an aluminum reflector before but it polished up nicely. Mica globe came from Fred Kuntz and I was able to get a new positioning pin installed.

It has quickly become my favorite lamp.

Hello John, yes, ex raiway lamps often have parts from different eras on them, the storesmen were keeping working lamps running.

It's fine lamp once more! :D/ :D/

    Hello John,
Don't forget to have a look at "Under Night Streets" - AL15 and AL16 on the "Lamps in Film & Print" section. A good view of the actual lamps in use.
    Maurice.

    Hello Maurice,

I saw those two films and several others dealing with the transit system. A very informative watch on all accounts.
