Optimus 300 question for the first start test

    Helo and good evening to all.

    So my Optimus 300 is not leaking. All parts are good as far as I can see and tested but because it is a gasoline lamp I want to be sure all goes well.
    How ever I read there is not more danger then with a kerosine lamp a lamp with gasoline is new for me.
    Can a lamp be tested without the sock and without the vent cap on the top to see if the first things go well ?

    The trick is to not use too much pressure: enough to get a good flame to see if it’s blue or mostly yellow.
