Hello everyone, black lampshades and hoods have become too boring for me. I wanted more color so I tried something. Here is the result.
Hallo Jeff , the color is heat-resistant. A special paint for painting with a brush.I the color is heat-resistant. I also tested it
@rollschmidts I’m sure your reflector will be ok, but I’d like to see how the green cap on the hood (vent) stands up to a long running lamp. Cheers Tony
I'm prepared for that. let's see what the future operation will result in. The paint is specially designed for very high temperatures of engines and exhaust systems and is very mechanically resilient.
@rollschmidts What paint are you using for the green? Is there a particular brand or part number for it?
I spray painted, many years ago, a Swiss HASAG reflector, like yours, black. I used a 2 component paint. Never a problem. The dark green colour was also available original. What colour is the inside or reflecting side? White?
Hi mate looks good. I'm with Tony light it up, and let's see if you really have found the paint, that no other member here has found yet. I hope it stands up after long running time. Good luck.
