Hello all, I thought I might enjoy this lovely table lamp last night.
She seems to be running well, and I enjoyed the company.

I love the shape of the CQ. I've got a base with a massive stress crack next to a substantial dent but it still looks beautiful... I'm still considering what to do with it... if anything.

I've got one too. I'll try to resolder it
Otherwise I have a Canadian model (May 1927) and a US model

I have a question for you @Sellig33 is that lampshade made from an enamelware type of metal? Looks cool...just wondering

@Sellig33 thank you sir! In your photos it looked like enamelware so I was curious.

Remus, perhaps you meant ta ask that to the original poster Buggerlugs since his lamp actually do have the enameled metal shade no 334?

It does look very nice - but I bet it gets plenty hot. It must be lunchtime here as I then wondered if it would be hot enough to cook a naan bread on..

I sort of suspected that it was Buggerlugs enamel shade you was asking about.
That's as I said a Coleman 334, and I think it's a very good shade. Not for illuminating a room. That's better done with an opal shade like the one Sellig showed.
But it gives a nice light on a table or side board. The Coleman I use the most actually has this enamel metal shade (link), and I have often used it positioned on a higher cabinet next to my favourite armchair for reading.
And it won't break as easy as a glass shade

Coleman advertised it as an unbreakable shade.
@Carlsson I believe you have explained it better than I could thanks.
I also love this shade, and do the same by putting it up higher when I want more light.
Generally I use it in the shed after working on projects and I put it on my bench and relax and enjoy the hissing in a not so well illuminated shed, as a glass shade would provide.
Don't get me wrong its a magnificent lamp shade, built to last that's for sure.
Most of all I love it, it's a beautiful lamp shade to have in my collection.

@Fireexit1 Well I'm not sure how hot it gets, maybe next time I might just have a feel, and let you know.

Here is a photo of my other shades for my CQ table lamps, as you can see its quite different than the others, and stands out from the crowd.

Question to all, which is harder to find the 334 shade, or the top bug catcher?
