This Tilley SL61 was in a retail store as a display. It is unfired as evidenced by no fuel smells in the tank and no sign of the burner having ever been used. The lamp has some shop soiling. The hood is suffering from some loss of ceramic which has me pondering whether it is not original to the rest of the lamp, but it also has no signs of smoke/heat affects. The lamp actually had a Tilley 606 vapouriser on it, which I have changed for a period appropriate 169 vapouriser. It will remain unfired. Cheers Tony
@Firestarter All of the external components except the hood, cage and control knob are lacquered, including the burner and air buttons. I used automotive polish to get the shop soiling off the exposed parts. Tony
