Hello all, the bargains are still out there.
It's just a matter of timing and luck.
I picked this BR49 up on the weekend, 1 hour and 20 minutes away from my location, well worth the drive and a days outing.
    Here are some photos.

    I'm pretty happy with her.
    Thanks for looking.
I did pick up some other Tilley lamps on the way home.
I just haven't had time to take the photos as yet.

Yes, that was a good buy that few of us would pass up. Now where are those shops that you find these bargains.

Luckily I'm hundreds of miles from Melbourne and still find a few things out this way. The luck of the draw.

Glad you found some good stuff.

    Hello all, just an update.
As you know team Buggerlugs loves to polish and paint lamps.
I couldn't leave her as is, so I polished all the parts, as best as possible, changed the hood over to a spare that I had, Michael sandblasted and resprayed the bail and all done.
while polishing I found a date stamp May 1957.
    Here are the results.

When it comes to Tilleys, I don't think I'm aware of anyone else who has better luck than you, Brian.
