Neat little Tilley I picked up a few months ago. Dated 360 so I gather March 1960?
In doing the fettle didn't expect the long flexible fuel pick up tube. Thought at first someone had Mickey Moused it together to keep it running. Looking on here discovered that indeed that was the way they are supposed to be. Never seen anything like that on a Tilley before. Live and learn....Also, not sure if there was a pip to be replaced in the fuel control valve as I couldn't see how that would come apart, so left it as was.

Also the vaporizer needle was broken and all I had on hand was a vaporizer that was 1/2" shorter but used it anyways. Works okay but a little short when using the bug guard under the globe so removed the guard. I'll have to look for a longer vaporizer. Other than the ongoing battle trying to tie the mantles on these Tilleys with my big fingers it seems to burn pretty good. :)

I guess you could cobble together a functional picker by splicing part of an intact, shorter pricker to the existing one using silver solder. It would be fiddly work but doable.

Yes Tony that is it. Likely won't find that Unicorn anytime soon.

    Looks fantastic mate, congratulations.
Maybe one day I might be lucky enough to find one, for my collection.
