Good Morning one and all. My latest addition of table lamps is a Tilley 136 /146. I was not sure what to call it exactly, as looking at previous posts vary with what I am showing. I had to do very little on this lamp, as the fount was in exceptional condition. It has had the vapouriser cleaned and a new seal kit fitted. The stem, on/off cock control and the pump serviced and polished. Also, the burner cleaned and a new mantle fitted. Now all running very well. I hope you enjoy the photos of this vintage pork pie lamp
@Steptoe One of my favourite lamps, and my first as it was my parents’ lamp, bought by them after WWII. The 136 has a shade and no globe. The 146 has the globe and no shade. But to complicate matters somewhat, in Australia these lamps came with a top and bottom insect screen and the 146 with these screens was designated 146/IP; and, as the globe was required, as well as the insect screens for insect protection, the 136/IP has shade plus globe plus insect shields. Cheers Tony
@Tony Press Hi Tony there seems to be so many combinations for this lamp. I agree with you they are a very nice lamp. Thank you for your remarks and information on the many different ways to dress them up resulting in the model no's Kind regards Nigel.
