This Veritas 350 B was found in a good original condition and minimal fettling was required to get it working. Details: The fount was brass with a steel base plate. Inside the fount the base was in very good condition. The paintwork is original and in reasonable condition. The font was stamped: VERITAS / PAT APPLIED FOR / MADE IN ENGLAND. An original decal has been placed over the stamping. The globe frame is brass and not date stamped. The globe frame is painted silver and appears original. The globe frame is secured with a steel bolt. The hood is in two parts, both are green enameled Steel. The collar is nickel plated brass and stamped “A”. The control valve is Stamped “A”. The control valve is sealed to the fount with a red fibre washer. The pump is polished brass with a steel shaft and there is no air bleed hole drilled in the cap There is no split pin securing the pump assembly The pump tube is mounted on the shoulder of the fount and at an upward angle. The fuel cap is nickel plated brass. The spirit cup is steel. The vapouriser is brass with a brass hex retaining nut. The air tube and mixing tube is nickel plated brass. The globe (original) marked VERITAS V DAVISIL Heat resisting glass 120mm Outside Diameter x 120mm High The bail shown is original.
