This is my first English lamp. It took me a while to get around to renovating it, but the effort was worth it. I really like some of the British design features, including the burner design and the simple method of priming and pre-lighting (just lift the glass a little). I had to pay a little more attention to the vaporizer, which was heavily coated on the outside. I removed a significant portion of the deposit using a blowtorch and some tapping. This is what it looked like when I bought it at the flea market.
Which flea market? Was this sheer luck or do you often go there to find pressure lamps? This 40's Bialaddin has drifted quite a ways eastward I think, but it's history might well be lost. Wonderful it came with a glass intact, as these are harder and harder to replace in any country. To me a very attractive model, and congratulations with your efforts!
@M.Meijer .Thank you. I can see from your avatar that you like this style of lamp. I came across it completely by accident. I visit the flea market in my city quite often. I don't usually have a specific plan to buy anything in particular. Sometimes I find something interesting. Greetings Stanislaw
Thank you for this additional information. I hope you will enjoy this lamp for a long time to come. Regards, Michael
