That a good lantern and it's simple to restore, you will need a complete set of washers and seals, which you can order from the fettle box on this website.

The first step, is to tighten the gland nut on the control cock and to tighten the control cock and the vapouriser and the pump and then pump up the lantern and check to see if the pressure indicator is working.

Put in plenty of pressure and then submerge the entire lantern in water and check for leaks, if there are any then you will see the air bubbles.

Do let us know how you progress, Jeff.

I have pumped it up and it does build pressure and holds it.
Where do I find the pressure indicator?

It's the small tube which protrudes from the top of the tank.

When the inner rod is level with the top of the tube, then you have the correct amount of pressure in the tank.

Those indicators do seize sometimes, but they also sometimes un-seize when the lantern is being used.

Sometimes they leak and need to be soldered over, Jeff.
