    Hi All ;)

This lamp is slightly different to the other one listed here in that it has a steel tank, two air inlet holes, one at each side in line with the air intake tubes on the burner instead of one in the outer brass cover, different end to one of the burner tubes were the pricker sits and no pip on the top to lift it off with.

Steve is the pip on the top missing is there a central hole where the screw may have gone? My one also has a inner brass mesh inside the the top retained by the screw and knob on the top

    Hi Pete ;)

No hole in top or mesh inside, as we know only these two lamps like this and they do have slight differences it would suggest one maybe slightly older than the other but which one, who knows :)

excerpt "This lamp was used at the Durbar Camp in India, and at the Caravan Meet, at Stratford-upon-Avon, in August, 1912, it illuminated the marquee, reading-tent, and the pitch generally."
