Coleman 242B 1938 (Canadian)

The Coleman 242B "Sport-Lite".

Here is a very fine little 'gasoline' lantern. Canadian build and made in 1938:

I fitted it with a Peerless 24A "Yttrium" mantle that Markds2 sent me to test.

I am not really a big fan of gasoline lanterns, but this is a good little lantern.

It is obvious that you are a respected member of CCS.
You post many detailed, close up photos for the gallery so that other members can compare their lantern with yours and see if there are slight changes or differences.

Tony, I notice that the directions that came with the lantern are for a 249 (Kerosene) lantern, I wonder if that is a mistake? Anyway, you've done a beautiful job of fettling this little 242B!

The brochure that came with the 242B is definitely a ring in.

I included the pic of the front cover for completeness, and will scan the brochure and put it in the correct place in the Reference Library.
