Having had modern reproduction lamps I drooled over the all brass 300x that is being produced in Korea- the price and inconvenience of any issues put me off. I like lanterns with some history and managed to pick up a restored x300 1947+ that someone has fettled and refurbed seals. Ticked all the boxes for me and I look forward to lighting it.
Thank you, I have been on the look out for a bialaddin, the condition is really good and the seller has refurbished it- I understand that lighting it will cause discolouration. But I like working items that have nostalgic history- nothing worse than museum pieces. ( I've a Vapalux on the way, hopefully my partner won't have a fit at my hobby/ obsession)
