Hi All, The X410 was a gift from a fellow stovie. He told me his father bought it in Canada. The lantern has sat disassembled in a box for years. I ordered the new seals and washers from Ross at the Fettle Box. With all washers and seals replaced it was time to reassemble the lantern. I did a leak test found one and got that fixed up so now no leaks. I filled up the fuel tank/fount and pumped it up. I added a preheater that a fellow stovie makes and started the preheating. The preheater is made by Kerry, @kerry460, out of Australia. The lantern needs to be cleaned up, but it runs great. Cheers, Norman
Hi Norman, I don't often visit CPL so I was super glad you let me know you'd resurrected my dad's old Tilley. The last time I saw it lit was when I was a boy back in the '50's or early '60's. It sat in my shed and then shop for 25 years and for years in my dad's shop before his passing. I'm so pleased it's found a new home and new function. My dad would be pleased. Well done! Best regards, Rod
Hi Norman a very history of the x410, and a very nice fettle. It's great seeing it lit for first time in nearly 60 years well done
@Tony Press To be truthful I hadn't looked until you asked. To answer your question it does indeed have a date stamp. Cheers, Norman
