1938 - 40 PL53

This was one that turned out a lot better than expected, underneath a lot of grime the paint was still good.
After a good clean and fitting a washer kit, vapouriser and a new cage, it is once again a fine example of its type.

This is what made Tilley. These are great lanterns. I have three of these and one PL55. So far, none of them have failed me.

 

Absolutely stirling condition, James! Incredible that the paint and enamel lasted so well.
