Hello all, i want to show my last purchased lanternits a coleman Quick LQ 25-12 made in Canada. as usually i was looking at the local sectionhand site to score some antiek tools or whatever, and than i spot this nice lantern!! here some pic's all tips en tricks are welkom.
These are easy to fettle. They often work "as found" but nearly always just want a clean and maybe a new generator to work like a new lantern. With very few moving parts there is nothing to adjust so dismantle and clean out fuel feed and air tubes. Check the generator is passing fuel and it will run. ::Neil::
Thanks all, what type mantels are used on this type off lanterns? i just live it four a couple off weeks an than a give it a shot just admire how it is now
Great lantern, as they say, "these are bullet-proof!" You can't go wrong. Every time I would see one of these at a flea market (car boot sale) I would pick it up. Sometimes $20, $30 or $40 and that was my limit. Then I began to realize, after taking a few apart, they are damn near "idiot proof"! You really have to work hard to destroy one of these. It also got expensive after 8-10 of these things were purchased! ENJOY!!!
