Hi, there. Could someone direct me how to assemble the control cock with metal washer(?) ? I've tried various orders and directions but failed.
@Ernest Kimm That "washer" is from a push-on control wheel that fits over the end of the control spindle when everything else is assembled. What you need is the control wheel; the washer is no use. See here: Service pack 1 Tony

@Ernest Kimm Welcom to the forum! Normally the "washer" is on the inside of the control knob and is not seen. Occasionally, when removing the knob it will part company and stay on the end of the rotating cam shaft. Regards, Jeremy
The "washer" is simply a spring clip that holds the knob onto the control cock shaft. Push the clip into the hole in the back of the knob - from memory it goes in one way only. Then push the knob onto the shaft. That's all there is to it - don't over-think it...
Yes, Jeremy. This is my first chance to see the "washer" for tilley 246 model. It would be always surprised for me to see the details from the old stuffs.
