There's a good chance your lamp will have a date stamp under the tank eg 781 , July 1981
Probably off a Famos lamp...
On the 'A the legs screw into the tank, the 'B, the legs are welded onto a plate, which attaches to the tank with a knurled nut
Put them in the dishwasher....
I wouldn't put sand in, could be nightmare later if you can't get it all out......

That white shade is most likely off a leccy lamp....
