I wrapped a shop rag around the tube and tightened pliers just enough to unscrew it without damaging the tube. Be very careful. They can break off.
The F/A tube looks like it does not come apart, but mine did on my 1963 243b. It unscrewed just like 242's and 200a's. I don't see how it could be...
