Jorgen, I completely agree that Coleman fuel, car gas and similar fuels should not be used in kero lanterns that have either (or both) the pump...
Coleman Fuel, by Coleman's own MSDS is 99%+ napahta, which is what white gas is also called according to Coleman's own website. Naphtha's...
Coleman fuel is not petrol. It is nearly pure naphtha with apprx 1% of other additives such as rust inhibitors. Much different than petrol/gasoline.
What Stuart, no Jensens?
The bottom hole in the fuel/air tube is made so it will still pass a little fuel even when the rod is in the "down" position. If the...
Quite beautiful, Stuart! What a find.
Hello. Great that you got your 200 running well. It's normal for the ventilator (red cap) to get extremely hot, and the red ones do change color...

"Repurposed" and all those other touchy feel-ey words are just nitwit words for "ruined someone else's focus of interest for my profit". I wonder...
I usually start my CQ lamps with 15-20 strokes from a similar sized pump. Once it warms up I put in another 10 or 15 strokes and it's set for a...
About the largest lathe I've worked around was a 2x16 foot Monarch. I still vacuumed it at the end of the shift so I had a clean place to work...
Cow pie, cow pat, meadow muffin, etc. All same same.
Is the bottom of the vaporizer (where the jamb nut is) a flare, or a ferrule? On all of the PMax types I own, it is a ferrule rather than a...
They sure are a good looking lantern. That one, especially! Sometimes it's just hard to figure what goes through the minds of the bean counters...
