Second 3927 I have now, this one with the mil spec generator. No fettle needed, fuel cap gasket was soft, pump worked, although I need to remove the pump shaft and clean the tube if needed and oil the cup. Add fuel, wait, wait for fuel to get up to the genny, pump a bunch more and wait. Finally got fuel to the genny, let pressure out, then added half a dozen pumps and did a naked burn. Later, tied on a mantle and away it went, had to put a globe on to help the genny vaporize the fuel. Paint isn’t the best, but enough that I like it. I let it run for 2.5 hours, fount stayed cool.
Vent look hazed, but I read something the other day that some lanterns may have been made that way.
