Given the northerly location, I would have thought that Aurora, the Roman goddess of the dawn was worthy of mention... Last October - an aurora, if not the dawn...
This is a lamp i have known of for maybe 20years I remember mick walking down the runway with it on a bitterly cold day at swinderby antique fair after buying it off a european dealer. From there it went to micks home in harrogate then onto bolton abbey railway station for a good few years. After the covid years it returned to micks who sold it to dave in oxfordshire so its a well travelled lamp. Anyway it came to Leeds last xmas with a request see if you can get this monster going. Well this weekend it finally works again i reckon this lamp just needed a bit of tlc after all its been tho and all its travels. Its a big lamp must be doing 500cp at least put biggest mantle i had on it and it filled it with flame. Had to prick it a bit at first then run faultlessly for 4 hours Life in the old girl yet Cheers pete
