Albrecht No , Lancaster has no history of cost cutting in the production of the Nite Hawk . They have improved the lanterns appearance over time in fact. I hope other members here will contact Lancaster Lanterns ( Melvin@LancasterLanterns.com) and look into ordering a Nite Hawk . It would only take a small number to trigger a production run I believe .
Hello Hanzo, I wrote an email to Mel to order two of them. He just wrote back to me that he needs to come up with a plan. I hope, he will not forget that I would love to have them.... Until now it seems to be not possible to really order one .... to early ...
The more collectors and hobbyists showing Lancaster interest in acquiring the lantern the more likely a production run happens. I hope our members in Asia, Britain and continental Europe will take an interest and contact Lancaster via email to make inquiries and put in an order.
you are right Hanzo, also for that reason I would love to have one of the lanterns, how can I show the lamp here in Europe to all my visitors and friends without having one? Hopefully soon, best, Albrecht
The 1020 and NH may actually have a similar number of parts. The NH though is a lot more solidly built, bigger, heavier, brighter .
I stand corrected, Pitman Marine will sell global, through eBay global shipping. Check him out! He even has a new (?) Amish lantern on the site.
That's good news on shipping George. Pitman Marine isn't carrying new HC Lanterns , he is carrying more of their already existing line of lanterns and lamp.
https://www.lehmans.com/product/amish-table-lamp/ Lehman's puts the Leacock 107 on sale yearly but this year the sale has been extended and the additional 20% discount makes the $119 price tag the lowest price I've seen for this lamp.
I see they are are also advertising an Aussie Bush Light (Austramax for $349.99) which is $494.34 Au + post ( I think I will pass )
