Hi John, you've had better luck with your 200K than I've had with mine. A leaking solder seam around the base plate was an easy enough repair but lead to the discovery of a vertical stress crack in the sidewall. Then the pump gave-up the ghost and in spite of filing the burr off the end of the pumprod to remove the nut & leather cup, I managed to shear the end off it. It's still waiting to be repaired / replaced.
@Henry Plews Sorry to hear that Henry. Contemporary advertisements speak of their robustness, with a ‘solid drawn brass body, mechanically sealed and soldered.’ Disappointing to have an example prove otherwise.
Disappointing also that my memory is failing me. Although the Butler has a stress crack and needs a repair to the pump, it was actually another blowlamp (Monitor) which had a leaking solder seam.
