    This is a Canadian Coleman 236 dated 10/1950 (10 50).

    The build quality of that lantern and it's 237 sibling is good, did you have to remove the check valve?

    No, Jeff. The fettle on this lamp was: "cleaned the tank by rinsing twice; cleared the air tubes".

    One of the best looking lanterns with the larger 660 globe, IMHO. Reliable too.
