    Hi,
    I'm looking for an ID on this control cock please.
    It's all brass with a ball bearing inside as a shutoff, along with the the lower spring valve. There is broken vapouriser end included which keeps the ball in place.

    This XN control valve was the one that followed the first hexagonal control cock
    I think it was in use on lamps from 1924 till 1928ish. After that they looked the same but had a back screw(opposite the knob)to support the far end of the control shaft.
    Various brass valves followed this one its a nice thing to have.
