I'm old enough to remember dancing to "Ferry across the Mersey" - Gerry & the Pacemakers
Is the meaning of "Across the Mersey" just "somewhere else"? Seems not everything can be found by Google...

Not at all it's an actual ferry across a real half mile or more wide river from Liverpool to Birkenhead, Seacombe or New Brighton. Carried me across many times in my youth. ::Neil::

@Pancholoco1911 ..That looks great:thumbup: I like the way the fount is submerged in ice but too big for my freezer :)
Did you have a fixing on the central fuel feed, at all?

@HasseO .. have a search on wiki for ‘mersey ferry’

I seem to recall taking the train from Birkenhead to James's St to get across the river. There were interesting large lifts at one end with expanding metal gates.

Yes I used the train as well as the tunnel sometimes but the ferry was more fun and I could take the Motorcycle on the boat. ::Neil::

I know there is a ferry across the Mersey - BUT why say "I have to try across the water = across the Mersey" trying to find beaded (bellydancing) pearl/beaded shades that was discussed.
So, is it a way of speech to say something is hard to find? Or maybe there are a lot of bellydancers on the other side of the Mersey???

    Hi @HasseO
The term ‘across the water’ is a local term that must go back many years.. it can work both ways depending which side of the Mersey you are on.

When I said about looking for bead supplies and having to look ‘across the water’, I did mean to search in Liverpool as there would be more chance of finding a suitable shop there than in Birkenhead.. Liverpool has a rich, multicultural history where many folks from around the world have chosen to call home.. I hope it will long continue to be so:thumbup:
.. there isn’t much more to it than that really?
    Hope that helps,
    Best wishes,
    pB

Can this approach be done while leaving the valve assembly in?

I removed the NRV. The valve and stem was as one I removed them, but I did make a make shift bung. It was smaller I wrapped I fair bit of thread tape just to help pressurise. I filled the tank 1/2 way, froze for a couple of days, so it had expanded to its max. Next time I did fill it below the the top of tank , fitted the bung, I put in the freezer, do watch it it will freeze and expand quicker than you think. My make shift bung rose as the ice expanded the tank did go back nearly to its original shape.
Hope it goes well for you

@Jak can be done but I removed the fuel/air tube before doing the freezing method.
I’ve seen others methods that works faster and in way way less time.

Please show us pictures before and after. Love to see what types of dents it can be used for.
