I can only imagine he had to sift through many err... Unrelated pages before stumbling across this one. Not to mention avoiding the " images" button. [-X

Wow, only €15 and you can be an official Muff diver with membership card to prove it. :-k

From the Viz 'Top Tips' Facebook group - I got there via the 'Real Ale Twats' Facebook group. Look 'em up for yourselves if you've got a Facebook account:-

https://www.facebook.com/groups/7745089202/?fref=ts and scroll down to 'Yesterday at 20.13'

...and I have to say I'm shocked by Christer's and Matthew's comments. Just what kind of a boy do you think I am? ;)

Oh, and while I'm on - does anyone know why my new 'puter with Windows 8.1 won't allow the 'Link' function to work?

Pretty sure Ray was thinking the same too. ;) I was relieved it wasn't what I first thought, as I'd clicked the link before reading it.

Avoiding twats and muffs, the hook on the spanner would fit a ring nut, a circular nut without flats but with indents at regular spaces around the circumference. I don't know the construction of your lamp, but check around the stem base for starters. Either that, or someones painted up a bicycle spanner and included it.

PS: The government of Ireland seem to believe they are a republic.

Just me being pedantic The Irish republic has not existed since 1922. According to the Republic of Ireland Act 1948, Ireland or Éire is the name of the State, the Republic of Ireland is the legal description. Anyway, I stripped the 1500 down and used an ultrasonic cleaner on the parts. A load of black carbon came out of the vaporiser, will put back together over the next few days and see what the lady is like. Thanks to all again for the help and advice!!

    Hi Eiremax
Why didnt Eire keep their kingdom. Was it not possible to find Family after king Brian Boraime after the stormy history or did the people not want a kingdom to come?
