Please can an expert on this forum offer a thought as to what this lamp is? It has no makers marking and no sign that it’s missing parts like reflectors or lenses. It stands 18” tall and burns with a nice double flame. Google image search offered me nothing and I’m stumped! Your thoughts greatly appreciated…
Welcome aboard! Some members of this forum collect carbide lamps, so they may have information to share.
Thanks for your quick reply Jeff. Normally Google image search is my friend but it’s finding nothing similar out there, even when steering it towards carbide (which is what I was using to get the flame). Hopefully there will be an expert here who recognises it!
Not a Dargue carbide lamp @Andrew Bastable, but a similar pattern. The Dargue uses a replaceable Bray Luta burner with the same flame pattern but yours seems to utilise paraffin-pattern jet nipples screwed into that crescent-shaped component. John
