Mantle shenanigans!

    No... but I was thinking it should be perfectly possible using the Chinese 'Coleman' style sock type mantles.

    @Chip Packard , I did, using Butterfly double ties but outcome seems to be a little too big. I need to get an empty frame again to try. I last did it with making a prototype frame fasten to an old 350cp clay nozzle. I have a blowtorch which the clay nozzle fits slightly just slightly loose, which is good for the expansion and stuff. A butane blowtorch is good enough for the job. I had too much pressure, the mantle turned out too fat at the top. I would think that after making one, will have to spray that thing solid for any practical use. I have yet to try using a rebuilt in the lamp too.

    With my hands as bad as they are, I buy the original ones, Bialaddin or the Tilley ones. Little pricey, I know but even with original mantles they give me hell at times! Just not ready to "chuck" it in yet![-X;)
