Need help with lighting up a Primus 1020 from 1936

Ah, good advice Nils. I will try making one if I can not get one from Fogas. I received a message from them saying they are out of the 1020 kits right now with no estimate as to when they will get them back in stock.

Has anyone purchased jets/parts from other sellers on the bay of evil or other outlets? I believe the 1020 is 300 candle power, correct? I also have a 991 that I am fettling and I believe that is a 200cp if I am not mistaken?

I would actually recommend you making your own NRV tool. The ones that can be bought of the factory original ones are not the best quality. You need something with good purchase that wont slip.

Yes the 1020 is 300cp and the 991 is 200cp. I believe jets can be obtained from other suppliers like Base Camp in the UK and maybe Hytta in Germany. There are probably others, but I don't know of them. Unfortunately the thread Primus used is unique, so jets from other manufacturers will not fit.

 

Re models and respective candle power, you are correct.

Pump leather is the same for both models and available from Fettlebox as is the rubber pip for the N.R.V.

Filler cap seal
Filler Cap Seal - 96, 00, 210, 45, 71 etc. Pack of 2 centre hole may not be a perfect fit but outside diameter is correct.
