Jim, for some reason I don't see any picture of your lamp and label, so hard to say anything about your lamp.

Was the label any help with dating, Wim?
I found some silver solder this afternoon, I'll be replacing the lead-tin solder on the evaporator tube with something a bit Stronger tomorrow.I found some paint of about the same colour as the chipped, i have painted most of the chips and it looks much better.

I now have all the missing parts for my 795 and I have resoldered the evaporator tubes with silver solder. I don't know if I will continue the restoration of the 795 or restore the other 835, the tinware has a lot of rust pitting, especially on the top part of the chimney. I wonder it someone can give me tips about re- enamelling?

Richard, That is a great thread but I did not see the addresses of the suppliers. I'll read it again to see if I missed them, maybe they are there somewhere! Then we have to find suppliers in Europe! I'd love to give it a go!

    Jim,
With pictures I meant more then a detail of the label. So some pictures of the whole lamp would be nice.

OK, Wim, thank you, I will get a couple of photos up as soon as T can. I have repaired it with parts from an 835, I was hoping to restore that one too, but the tinwork is too bad (rusty, with chunks missing!), except for the tank, which is tin plated and like new. I have painted it black, was I right to do that, in your opinion?
I have ordered the glass for the 795, but I can't see from your restoration parts list how it is retained in the reflector, are there any clips or something else to hold it?

This is the best I could do with it, Wim. If you need more details, please tell me which bits to photograph and I will try to send them to you.
