Really beautiful ...... I have not been to Lord Howe Island however my wife and I have spent the last 5 Christmases on Norfolk Island. We both love/loved Norfolk Island very much. This year will be the last visit I’ll make to this beautiful Island as I’m going there to spread my darling wife’s ashes in our favourite spots. Next year, I might visit Lord Howe Island. Thanks mate. Pete
Hello Tony, it's a gorgeous island, but it's probably to hot for me, anything over 70 degrees Fahrenheit and the sweat is pouring from me. Hello Pete, that journey should bring back some fond memories, Jeff.
The weather is mostly cold wet and windy and the link below shows a fierce storm and they happen often.
The first link below shows a video which may be of interest and the second link shows information about the Churchill barriers. PS., I cycled across all of those barriers one summer in the 1980's. Churchill Barriers | Orkney.com
The remains of the sunken guard ships are quite a sight. The Italian Chapel is well worth taking time to see too.
The weather today has been great so far and it's incredible for the 23 of December, so here are a few photographs which I took.
Hello Jeff, The pictures look great thanks for sharing. Here in the Pacific Northwest we have been having warmer weather then usual which is nice. Cheers, Norman
