    You're not trying hard enough. Do this cold! If you do heat the end, allow it to go cold before proceding. (I speak from experience).

    Hold the vapouriser firmly in a vice as shown.

    Grip the brass fitting FIRMLY !

    Unscrew a little way and lubricate. Repeat as necessary until you feel confident that the fitting will come out rather than shear off.

    Use a little copper or nickel based grease on the threads before reassembling.

    It’s not looking too bad now…

    managed to get the end off the vaporiser - no pricker end inside so god knows where that went. Lots of crud cleaned out though!

    anyway, tank sprayed, new cap, replacement brass screws and there we are… it’s not perfect but it was never going to be. I’m happy with it though and will do the first test lighting tonight!

    Now that’s a win! Test passed … some initial reluctance then it just kicked in - maybe some residual muck in the vapouriser IMG_2930.jpeg

    Always great when they light up after a lot of care and attention..
    Now you know the vapouriser works - you should get a replacement needle for it
