Very windy here tonight, maybe when I find a fine red in the cellar and the evening is more calm.

    Trial at last .......... disappointing.
I acquired a NOS 169 genuine vaporiser only to get severe pulsing in the light.
So, swapped the new vaporiser over with another old and rusty one and ...... no pulsing!?!?! Go figure!
I read a heap of older posts on this issue and would have thunked a new vaporiser would have worked better than an old 60+ year old.
Now I just need to remedy the leaks.
Q: on the pump outer body there is a small breather-type hole on the ext surface. I have put a new seal on the pump body and still get bubbles when sprayed with soapy water. Why???

Either your NRV is leaking back into the pump, or your pump seal to tank is not sealing properly.

If you have bubbles at the collar hole You may have a piece of old seal in the groove of pump under tank seal or on thread face of tank.
