That’s great, really pleased for you. That reflector should clean up perfectly with some warm soapy water. Look forward to seeing the results.

Hi Friends, i have a question about the fit between the metal support where the wing nuts go, there is some space between the tank and this metal support, such as some tails or perhaps some rubber washers at the base of the four pond supports. I have searched these parts in the catalogs published in the CPL library but I cannot find them. FL6 owners and connoisseurs thank you for some information.

No you won't find a washer or spacer. Tilley never fitted anything in there and the cast stand frame is a loose fit on the four posts. Always seemed odd to me and I see no reason why you can't add a rubber washer in there. They don't have to be fuel resistant so I would probably drill out some tap washers. ::Neil::

Thanks Neil, so the lamps have this clearance since their manufacture? Mine is at least 5mm, I have no problem creating a solution but I was wondering if that tolerance has any reason. I think I will put some rubber ring or sole while.

Yes they are all like that and I really don't know why. Possibly because with a good clearance the casting tolerance didn't matter. ::Neil::

At one of the Ballarat/Staffordshire Reef gatherings, probably the “big FL6 light up”, there was a discussion about this very matter - the loose fit between cast frame and posts. Somebody (I can’t remember who) suggested it could reduce heat transfer from the light to the tank.
