    Good morning,
I'm trying to identify this old Optimus appliance marked:
    THE SWEDISH LAMP
    AKTIEBOLAGET OPTIMUS STOCKHOLM
    FOR PETROL
    Made in Sweden
Height: 21 cm Tank diameter: 8.5 cm
I've searched for Optimus gas torches, heaters, burners, and pressure cookers, but haven't found a single matching example.
Does anyone recognize the model or intended use?
    Thank you.

This type is generally too small to use as a starter for a hot bulb engine.
As most blow lamps, it probably didn't have any specific task, but was meant for any smaller heating application you could think about. Versatile and up to the user to choose.
Saying that, it could possibly be used to heat up a smaller hot bulb engine too if it was good weather and you had plenty of time. It would need extremely long time compared to the normal, larger lamp.
But that was hardly what it was meant to do.
