    Matthew - fighting off girls is the best reason (and only one so far) for having my X246B, so it looks like you are the favourite so far! :D

    Right... What day is "the day" and what time are the Tilleys being sparked?


    I'll have a "natural brass" 246B with me in Ranville and will try to join in by the wonders of them internets.

    I've suggested Saturday night as that is when pretty much everyone who is going to be there will be...

    I'm guessing it will take a while to light that many too so I would think we would start lighting them well before it starts to get dark here.

    Well, I think if everyone just lights their own and then brings them to the centre of the field (or wherever) that'll be quicker.

    I thought 25 lanterns to form each number using a double row would give the best effect.

    I'll be bringing around 12-15 gold lanterns in dismantled form. If we're going to be short and anybody can be arsed to rebuild a few, they're welcome to do so...

    I'm happy to sit and help rebuild some for the light-up...

    I don't have any spare Tilley mantles though as I've had a few careless breakages lately!
