With a litle help from John (OK he did it all) a new pipe was fitted and also the end filter from a long control cock.
Your lantern is running well, looking good and would be a nice acquisition to your collection, well done. Cheers Pete
Very nice Jean, I love these little lamps. You appear to have a drip on your cock though, better get that seal changed.
@Matthew92 Well spotted, one cannot have drippy cocks, can one, as it would be a sign of things not quite right ...... Cheers Pete
Gentlemen, please! Not to worry Matthew, all sorted out after pic was taken and no new leaks. It’s a little sweetie and I like it as much as I’ve come to like the wee Coleman lamps.
Thanks for pic on new pipe replacement. Could you please let me know whether the non-return-valve exist or not? If then, please give me a further explanation on where the non-return-valve is located.
@Ernest Kimm This model does not have a non-return-valve. The repair to @Jean J 's lantern is just like the original. Henry.
The cleaning needle will close the jet but not always 100%. Unscrew the pump and release the pressure is the best way to make sure the flow of fuel is off. Henry.
Thanks Henry, knew I could rely on one of you gents to help me out. If you get your lamp working Ernest please remember to post some pics of it lit up.
Thanks, Jean! Does the vapouriser on you “remaining” X410 have a steel or brass bottom ‘nut’ (the bit that screws into the control cock)? Cheers Tony @Jean J
Missed this thread originally. Looking good Jean, John did a good job on the pickup pipe. So, you have another one eh?........
