Hi all, This is an outdoor gasoline fed hanging lamp , Succes 104 Autonome, from the French company of Guenet & Abbat. Probably made around mid 1920,s and is said to give 160 CP light output. The burner head on this lamp is the 103 "Bec Forain" and has the same burner components and parts as the "Bec 101 bis", seen here 1930 Bec Succes 101 bis holllow wire lamp . As always, when it comes to lamps and burners from the Succes brand .... many parts and many joints to connect. After many working hours, it turned well in the end. OK performance, although maybe not optimal! This is the only example of this lamp, I know of! /Conny before restoration ……. catalogue pages ………..
@Conny C ... Thanks Conny for another remarkable presentation... I absolutely love these intricate and marvelous lamps you find... Just stunning... Is the main body some sort of Aluminium alloy?
Another splendid lamp found and beautifully restored. Congratulations on a fine restoration. Thank you for sharing. Cheers Pete
Excellent, Conny. The number of parts in the photos and catalogue is quite a wonder in itself. I expect that a very tidy workbench is required for success with the Succes. Congratulations on a fine effort. Is the preheater torch original to the lamp? Cheers Tony
@Conny C It’s always exciting to open one of your threads. I know that I’ll see something I’ve never seen before that’s both interesting and beautiful. Thanks for sharing. Stevie
Thanks all! @podbros Yes the burner casing and reflector is made of aluminium. @Tony Press The preheater torch is original for the Tito Landi burners. You can find it in this thread Tito Landi... /Conny
