Hello again. I couldn't help but bid on another lamp to rescue. Looked horrid in the pics but I could see some potential. I could just about make out the date on the bottom in the sellers pics. Dec 65. I could also see it was a made in UK glass and it looks absolutely brand new. I've given it a quick clean in some soapy water and it really does seem ok. It has a brass cock and ally pump and a pretty clean looking vaporizer. Hardly any carbon on the needle. The burner was a bit seized and the knurled nuts took some getting undone but everything else looks good. Top 2 pics are after a clean 20240229_190926.jpg 20240229_190919.jpg 20240229_173947.jpg 20240229_174006.jpg 20240229_173930.jpg 20240229_173922.jpg 20240229_173945.jpg

It should clean up nicely.
1965 the brass cock is more than likely original and has the flat valve seal with a brass holder rather than the later one piece seal.

Thanks guys. Sorry I'm late at replying. Been busy. Deffo caught the lamp bug for a while. At least till the novelty wears off. Looking forward to using them on a summer's night. Hoping to clean this one up a bit more today. Looks fairly untouched and I'm wondering wether to leave it as it is. Got an sp1 seal kit to fit too with all the washers and springs etc. And some brite mantles to try too.
