    Here is a tilley SP1 that showed up at newark years back nice to see one

    Hello Pete, I have never seen one in the flesh so to speak.
    Perhaps the SP1 had a short production run and I wonder what situations it would have been used in, any ideas anyone?
    The rarest Tilley which I have is an R-2 and the link below shows it and there is a link in the thread which shows an unused example and I knew of another collector who had the tank for an R-2.
    Does anyone know of other examples?

    Yes a short run most likely jeff i do remember it projected a beam of light a very long way tho

    Hello Pete, perhaps the SP1 was used on airfields, but until some relevant paperwork turns up it's all speculation.
