Here is a Blanchard table lamp 1000 150cp. The burner is dated at august 1924 in good working order too, this lamp does not have a soldered on shield so they must have stopped putting them on by then and just stamped the name on the pump plunger. Last couple of images show a advert clip of the lamp with a shade fitted and one of it at the side of a tilley TL10 to give you some idea of the size of these at 31 inches high a big lamp. Some more info on the fettling of the lamp can be seen here http://0flo.com/index.php?threads/5365 cheers pete
A stunningly beautiful lamp! You've performed a museum quality restoration. It's hard to believe its the same lamp as the one in the fettle post. Bravo! Dan
Got to agree there Jeff thanks lot of time and work but its a runner again now and will be looked after well pete
That's an amazing job you have done there... way beyond anything I would attempt I think. I will take on basic soldering repairs but nothing like that..
basic soldering repairs is where it has to start for us all you just get more confident as you go along I still take a deep breath and think oh bugger when it goes wrong pete
Hi Pete, Only just seen your post, I must say you have done a lovely job on this Blanchard 1000. It looks as good as the day it was made, and still running well after 90 years. Well done indeed mate, Jim
Thanks for all the praise lads just glad I got my hands on it and I could do it justice. All sorted now tho, and now I have got used to lighting it its suprising how easy to control it is its just preheat\30 pumps and pop off it goes great cheers pete
