Nice one paul wonder why most of the barnard stuff about is chrome yet blanchard stills painted and lacqueared pete
Hi Paul, That is a very nice Barndard made Blanchard Hospital lamp, dose it have a name plate on it? and if so can let us know what on it, or post a photo of it please. cheers Jim
Hi Pete, A lot of greengrocer's in the market's liked to use W.T.Barnards chromed Blanchards, both single and double ones as they also reflected the light off the polished chromed tank like a mirror so giving off even more light. I hope that help Pete. Jim
hi jim, theres no name plate,it is only stamped on the handle,"made by w t barnard &co (lamps).ltd,30.britton st.london.ec1" paul
Hi Paul, Thanks for that info, It suggest's to me, that with the Britton St, London, address and the better fuel feed pipe and finnish, in comparison with the W.M. Still Model 1128 which is the same. That this lamp was made after the World War Two. Jim
hi jim, you could well be right,i've no idea,it's had very little if any use,the white enamel inside the burner is like new,it was black when i got it and i was very surprised when it polished up! paul
