This BLANCHARD is in unused condition. It was a find near by Paris/France, in summer 2010.

It is a complete, boxed pendant lamp with spares, filler, instructions, tin bottles, 2 globes, mantles with rings, hanger with cable, tools....

The shipping paper are written in Portugese, so I think that the lanterns was bound for Portugal.
The shipping papers are from 1951

    Hi Karli,
This is a very fine Blanchard 1307 indeed. Made by Blanchard Lamp (British) Co.
It is shown in a 1914 price list, but not in ones from the 1920s.
This hanging lamp seems to have only been in production for a short while with it's multi-curved arms. It would have been made some time from about 1914 to 1920.
Later version's of this hanging lamp, by 1922 just had simple curved arms and were given different model number's.
It must have been in store from then until 1951 when it was being shipped to Portugal.
It could have been "war office" surplus stock from the time of the frist world war, that may have been in a depot somewhere all that time, until they had a clear out......who knows?

    cheers Jim

    Hi Jim & Karli !
I also buy Blanchards ! and have alot of paperwork
    on these lamps.
    I can safely put your Blanchard lamp in a box back to 1911 for the " 1307 " or " 1107 ".
Would you care to enlarge the picture on inside of the box lid, please ?

Hi Karli - it's likely the PDF's are too big as they are an allowable format. Due to the issue with filesize jpg or gif is better. If you can't scan to that format or convert pdf to image files (you can open PDF in many graphics programs - my paperwork is mostly PDF & that's what I do) please contact me via pt & I can arrange for you to email them over & do the conversion for you.
