Had this one a for quite a while now but had some time over the last few days to sort it out Don't have a model number for this one its dated November 1923 so must have been one of the last put out by Blanchard as WM Stills had the company in 1924\25 The paintwork is original so it makes you wonder if its a army type issue lamp also has a serial number 83 under the tank where the numbers always seem to be stamped. It had seen a good bit of use lots of carbon inside oversized jet but worst of all a cracked vapouriser all replaced after work and the lamp runs nice and bright again cheers pete
Pete, the Blanchard looks fantastic. Amazing after just a "few days to sort it out". You do fine work and I appreciate the detailed pictures. Nice! Great to get this old hanger working again after all those years. You are fortunate to have all the original parts. Dan
Pete - nice job on a fantastic lamp! Also a very cool "Indifferent" logo on the glass globe. I have a couple of kerosene mantle burner chimneys with that same logo. /Conny
Thanks Dan yes I forget how old some of this stuff is sometimes this is a later one at 92 years old!! Having all the bits is a bonus but I have never just been able to fuel one of these up and light it all required some sort of repair service work and parts. You know where mick in the celler!! Not all of them dave got the last one from 2 dodgy blokes at a steam fair Thanks Conny yes I have a couple of globes with this logo on now I remember a post a while back and I think it was karli that had a enamel sign for this glass maker cheers pete
