1920 (Ca) OPTIMUS 'SIRIUS' lantern

Hi all.

Introduce my optimus(or lux)sirius lantern.
unfortunely niddle was broken.
so i have to make new niddle . all is good working .

control knob is similiar coke coka bottle cap



sirius lantern niddle part. i use with vice.



use 0.5mm small hand drill with make new hole.



use acupuncture needle



make another needle.

left: radius 143 lantern repair needle
middle: petromax little baby 900 repair needle
right: sirius lantern rpair needle



you can see new needle

"use acupuncture needle" That is a Great Idea! Those needles have to be strong, well made and have precise dimensions. I think a trip to China Town is in my near future. And a super nice lantern as well. thanks!

Wish you are good.

I just have chance to have this Sirius lantern. I was going to clean it but the problem is I don't know how to separate the main part which are the burner and the generator.

I tried many different way but still can't separate the parts, I am not sure it is too tight... as I don't have the digram and the part list so not sure which parts can be separated.

Could you please guide me to the good way to separate the parts in order I can clean the lantern.
